In addition to the hosts, the Institute for Social Protection of the Republic of Slovenia, the event was attended by representatives of all organizations implementing the project. Specifically, representatives of Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, Red Cross of Serbia, Red Cross of Belgrade, Red Cross of Novi Sad, Red Cross of Niš, National Employment Service, IPSOS strategic marketing and Center for Social Policy.
On the first day of the study visit, a meeting was held with the project partner within the “NOVA” project, the Institute for Social Protection of the Republic of Slovenia (SPIRS), where the researchers and employees of the institute presented the activities of their institution, then the “Social Activation” Program and previous experiences within it. After this meeting, a visit to the “Social Activation” program was organized in Domžale, which is implemented by the non-governmental organization “Gerontology-Research Institute”. The representatives of the organization shared their experiences in the program and allowed us to have a short conversation with the users of the program. In the afternoon of the same day, we visited the Center for Social Work Ljubljana – Moste-Polje Unit, where the hosts presented us with the organization and way of working of the Center for Social Work, as well as plans for the future, especially bearing in mind the plan that in the future the implementation of the program “Social activation” entrusted to the Centers for Social Work.
On the second day of the study visit, representatives of the project unit of the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities gave us a lecture on the topic of the “Social Activation” program, while the program coordinators presented their experiences in field work with the program’s contractors, as well as their expectations for future activities. .
After that, in the premises of the Employment Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, we attended a presentation of the cooperation between the Centers for Social Work and the Employment Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, as well as a presentation on Social Activation from the experience of the European Social Fund.
On the third day of the study visit, a visit to the “Social Activation” program in Novo Mesto, which is implemented by the “Development and Education Center” organization, was organized. There was a presentation about the specific program aimed at Roma women and their activation, a discussion about the experiences of the program holders, questions of motivation and a short discussion with the participants.
In the afternoon, a meeting of the organizations implementing the “NOVA” project was held, where the final discussion of the study visit was held, as well as a brief overview of the plans for the continuation of the project’s implementation
